Customer materials
The customer is responsible for having the rights, licences and permissions necessary to provide PrintVes with text, photographs, illustrations, fonts, logos, trade marks, designs and other materials used for an order.
Providing material does not transfer ownership to PrintVes.
Limited licence for fulfilling the order
The customer grants PrintVes a limited, non-exclusive right to use supplied material only as reasonably necessary to:
- prepare or assess a quotation;
- perform prepress work;
- prepare a proof or sample;
- manufacture or print the order;
- perform quality control;
- package and deliver the order;
- investigate or resolve a complaint relating to the order.
This does not give PrintVes a general right to exploit customer material for unrelated purposes.
Unlawful or infringing material
PrintVes may refuse production where there are reasonable grounds to believe material is unlawful or infringes third-party rights. Where appropriate, PrintVes may request evidence of permission.
Designs created by PrintVes
Where PrintVes creates original design or artwork, ownership and the scope of rights granted to the customer are determined by the relevant quotation, order or separate agreement.
Payment for printing or production does not automatically transfer all intellectual-property rights in source files, editable files or underlying working materials unless expressly agreed.
Production and working files
Prepress, technical, production, template and internal working files may contain PrintVes know-how and are not automatically customer deliverables unless agreed otherwise.
Fonts, stock assets and third-party licences
A design may contain third-party fonts, photographs, illustrations, templates or other licensed assets. Any right to receive, edit, redistribute or reuse them remains subject to the applicable third-party licence. PrintVes cannot grant rights it does not hold.
Portfolio use
Customer projects, trade marks, product images and other customer materials are not used in a public PrintVes portfolio without an appropriate legal basis. Confidential, embargoed or sensitive projects require any necessary permission before public use.
Personal data in artwork
Artwork may contain personal data. Its processing is also subject to the PrintVes Privacy Policy and, where appropriate for B2B personal datasets, any separate data-processing agreement.
Reporting an alleged infringement
Email: info@printves.com
Please identify the relevant material, explain the basis of the claim and provide enough information for PrintVes to investigate it.
